Disclosed are fittings for the fixing and/or locking arrangement of a glass element (45) on at least one adjacent glass element, whereby the fittings are composed of fitting halves (2, 3) each consisting of a substructure (42) fixed to the glass element (45) and of a covering that crowns the substructure (42). The aim is noted to be to create a fitting which forms a compact and visually appealing unit having a smallest possible overall height, whereby retaining the existing diversity of use and the various functions. To this end, the covering comprises a front surface which is fixed between lateral faces and which curves in a convex manner from one edge to the opposite edge.
