<p>The invention relates to an odour retaining cover for purification basins, employed for the protection and treatment of air in waste water purification plants. According to the invention, the odour retaining cover for waste water purification basins is placed on the upper edge of the basins and is made up of some slantwise arranged side walls (3) attached to each other, at their upper part, by a light material board (4) made of corrosion-resistant glass fibre-reinforced polyester and provided with some orifices (a) covered by some circular shutters (5) which can be swung by means of some hinges (6), said shutters (5) supporting some ultraviolet ray ozone generators (7) for neutralizing chemical substances and unpleasant odours existant in the air above the waste water, said air being freely discharged into the atmosphere through a circular conduit (8) centrally located above the basins.</p> |
