1. The circular warp knitting machine is equipped with an unmoving ring-shaped cylinder with vertical guides. Catch needles driven by rotating cams slide to and fro in the guides. The machine is also equipped with thread guides above the cylinder and with a pressing plate, which rotates together with the cams. It is characterised in that it is equipped with an additional unmoving element (5), shifted by an angle with respect to the cylinder in the direction opposite to the expected rotation direction of the pressing plate (8). The straight lines connecting the above-mentioned thread guides (7) with the tops of the cooperating needle guides (2) in the cylinder (1) are inclined at the first acute angle with respect to the longitudinal axes of the needle guides (2). The above-mentioned pressing plate (8) is located long the line and is equipped with the guiding surface (10), facing in the direction of the cylinder centre at the second acute angle (α) with respect to the cylinder radius (R). |
