A drive assembly for a fluid dispenser

The present invention relates to a drive assembly for a fluid dispenser where this fluid dispenser includes a chamber in communication with a fluid source. The dispenser also includes a piston moveable within the chamber to dispense fluid from and to draw fluid into the chamber. The drive assembly provided includes a drive shaft linked to the dispenser piston where movement of the drive shaft causes movement of the pistons. The drive assembly also includes an actuation element operable by the user of the dispenser where this actuation element is associated with the drive shaft and is adapted to cause movement of the drive shaft. The drive assembly also includes a span adjustor associated with the drive shaft where this span adjustor is directly connected to the actuation element and adapted to move with respect to the drive shaft to transfer force applied to the actuation element to the drive shaft.
