PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having high sensitivity and low fog and ensuring low fog even in storage at high temperature. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material containing a photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent, a hydrophobic binder and a compound represented by a general formula (1) on at least one surface of a support,≥44 mass% of the organic silver salt is silver behenate.
