PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trough unit, restraining a temperature rise of the trough surface due to friction and causing no disadvantage even in the case of a temperature change such as air temperature change and provide an air floating type belt conveyer apparatus using it. SOLUTION: The trough unit 2 is provided with a trough body 5 having a predetermined recessed curved part 3, and at least the recessed curved part 3 of the trough body 5 is formed of composite material taking metal as reinforced fiber.
