PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum pump system with a central remote control unit for overcoming problems resulting from the installation of a vacuum pump. SOLUTION: The vacuum pump system comprises at least two pump devices each consisting of the vacuum pump, a local electronic control unit for monitoring and controlling operation parameters of the pump, and a control station arranged at a position remote from the vacuum pump device. The control station has the remote control unit. The remote control unit and the local control unit have a radio communication module for transmitting/receiving data and commands for the vacuum pump devices to control their operation.
