摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the worsening of emission by setting the amount of secondary air to be the same when supplied into exhaust passages independently connected to cylinders of an internal combustion engine having the plurality of cylinders whose combustion strokes are generated at unequal intervals. SOLUTION: In response to the V-type four-cycle and two-cylinder internal combustion engine 1 having the cylinders whose combustion strokes are generated at unequal intervals, one secondary air control valve 42 is controlled corresponding to voltage output by an oxygen sensor 27. On the upstream side of a three-way conversion catalysts 13, 13', the amount of secondary air is set to be the same when supplied into the exhaust passages 12, 12' independently connected to the cylinders of the internal combustion engine through secondary air passages 41, 41 branching from the secondary air control valve 42 and having different pipe sizes.
