VALVE OPENING/CLOSING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening/closing mechanism capable of effectively suppressing the occurrence of wear in any of a rocker arm, a valve and a valve cap. SOLUTION: The valve opening/closing mechanism 1 comprises the valve 3 disposed at an intake-exhaust port 611 of an engine 6; the rocker arm 2 rocking in response to the rotation of a cam 63 to open/close the valve 3; and a coil spring 35 for energizing the valve 3 in a closing direction. The valve cap 4 supported by a support part 21 of the rocker arm 2 is disposed at the tip part 311 of a valve stem part 31 of the valve 3. The support part 21 of the rocker arm 2 has a projecting first abutting surface 211 abutting on the valve cap 4. An apex part P1 of the projecting first abutting surface 211 is formed in a position offset in a width direction W from a centerline C1 in the width direction W of the rocker arm 2.
