PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug for a water tank which can be pulled out without using a ball chain, a chain or a cord or the like, and a plug pull-out tool for pulling out the plug. SOLUTION: A plug-for-water-tank system comprises: (A) the plug for the water tank provided with a plug body composed of an appropriate material such as rubber, plastic or a wood material, a main ring inserted to a metal fitting projected at the upper part of the plug body and a plurality of auxiliary rings respectively interlinked with the main ring; and (B) the plug pull-out tool provided with a holding part exceeding the water depth of the water tank to be used and having a shape capable of regulating the direction of a tip part and at least one hook part formed on the front side of the tip of the holding part and constituted so as to be engaged with either of the main ring and the plurality of auxiliary rings provided on the upper part of the plug for the water tank.
