<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make blocking preventing properties compatible with excellent printability (resistance to sticking) and adhesion, in a thermal recording sheet specified not to have a release sheet with a release layer. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording sheet S has the release layer 12 on the front side of a thermal recording material layer 11 and an adhesive layer 13 on the reverse side, and an indented shape 12R is given beforehand to the surface of the release layer. Moreover, a base sheet 14 may be provided between the thermal recording material layer and the adhesive layer. The indented shape is formed advisably of a smooth curved surface.
