<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid feeding mechanism and a liquid changeover mechanism, both of which are simple in constitution and can feed a sample liquid by reduced power consumption necessary for converting a measuring device, capable of precisely measuring a substance to be detected, into a portable small-sized device and capable of changing over the sample liquid fed. <P>SOLUTION: Liquid feed means using a water absorbent are formed to a plurality of flow channels, and a flow resistance part 34 for controlling the contact area of a water-absorbing material 11 and the sample liquid and a flow resistance regulating part 35, for regulating the control of the contact area due to the flow resistance part 34, are arranged to each of a plurality of the flow channels. The flow channel 3, coming into contact with a region 2 for fixing the trapping substance of a substance to be detected, is slid and moved by a flow channel movement regulating part 33 to feed the sample liquid 10; and liquid feed changeover is performed by changing over the flow channels, while a flow velocity at each solution is regulated.
