<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composition containing chlorogenic acid in a high concentration by a simple process without passing through complex processes such as the distillation off of a solvent component such as an alcohol, etc., from an extract liquid, addition of table salt and further use of an alkaline water in extraction in the production of the high concentration chlorogenic acid-containing composition by using an aqueous solution containing the solvent such as the alcohol as the extracting liquid. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the composition containing the high concentration of the chlorogenic acid is characterized by comprising a process of treating a water soluble extract containing the chlorogenic acids obtained from a plant such as coffee raw beans, etc., with activated carbon and then eluting the adsorbed material on the activated carbon with organic solvents or an aqueous solution containing them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
