<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide refrigerant to which odorant having compatibility with refrigerant and refrigerator oil and causing no reaction with a material of a refrigeration circuit and refrigerator oil is added and to provide a refrigerator in which the refrigerant circulates in the refrigeration circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerant containing inflammable fluorinated hydrocarbon in which hydrocarbon having the number of carbons of 1 to 4 or a part of hydrogen atoms of the hydrocarbon is substituted by fluorine atoms as main component and containing tetrahydrothiophene as odorant is provided.
