<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely maintain the engagement between a latch part and a striker part, when a substantially front impact is applied to a link mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The gate lock device is equipped with a latch part 6 which is provided to a rear gate 2 and can be disengaged from the striker part 8 on the car body 3 side, a handle 7 which is set to the rear gate 2 for the engaging/disengaging operation of the latch part 6 and the striker part 8, a plate 11 which is interposed between the handle 7 and the latch part 6 and moves to a given disengaging direction by the operation of the handle 7, and an actuator 15 arranged in front of the plate 11. A notched part 11d, which restricts the plate 11 from moving in the disengaging direction by being engaged with the actuator 15, upon moving to the front by an external force, is formed to the plate 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
