PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a safety auxiliary function to a third person other than an operator of a snowplow heretofore unrealized. SOLUTION: One or more pyroelectric sensors reacting to the movement of an animal or a heat reserving body in a non-contact manner in the air are disposed at the walking type snowplow. The reaction range of the sensors is electronically, optically or mechanically formed so that a person or animal entering the reaction range of the sensors can be detected. The reaction range is set to a front detection range (about 3 m) of almost a stop advance distance or more in the advancing direction of the snowplow and a lateral detection range (about 2 m) of almost the machine body width or more.
