PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display recording medium, wherein the life time of the number of times for writing is prolonged by preventing dirt, damages and the like on the outer surface of a medium surface body and deterioration and the like of power receiving parts which are made so as to increase the number of times for writing. SOLUTION: In an electronic paper 10 as the medium main body, a visible image is written, by having the electronic paper irradiated with a writing pattern light, in a state in which voltage is applied between a pair of electrodes and the visible image can be rewritten. The electronic paper 10 can be freely attachably and detachably housed in a cartridge 20 having a housing part 20A. In the cartridge 20, a part corresponding to a writing display region 11 is made transparent, and aperture parts 23A and 23B for exposing the power receiving parts 12A and 12B of the electronic paper 10 are provided.
