PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel plate unit which is improved so that waterproof construction of a trough part of a wall-conspicuous roof can be easily performed, in the wall-conspicuous roof formed in a trough shape by enclosing the edge of eaves of a sloped roof with an inclined roof surface with an upper end of an exterior wall. SOLUTION: This waterproof structure of the roof is formed in the trough shape by covering the periphery of the edge of the eaves of the sloped roof 2 with the inclined roof surface with the upper end of the exterior wall. In the waterproof structure of the roof, the steel plate unit 10, which comprises a spacer 11 arranged on the bottom of a trough, a steel plate 12 arranged on the spacer, sheet members 13 integrally mounted on the steel plate part and raised on a parapet side and a sloped-roof side, and a steel plate piece 15 mounted outside the leading end of the sheet member 13b raised on the parapet side, is arranged on a trough-shaped substrate which comprises a sheathing roof board 5 constituting a bottom surface, an inside surface of a parapet 4 composed of the upper end of the exterior wall, and an edge-of-eaves substrate board 6 arranged on the lower part of the edge of the eaves of the sloped roof 2.
