PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a satellite droplet from reaching a medium in an accidental impact misregistration. SOLUTION: This liquid jet apparatus is equipped with a head 41 wherein a nozzle array 42 composed of a plurality of nozzles #i arranged in a line is provided on a surface facing the medium, a head moving part for moving the head 41 in a prescribed direction along the surface of the medium, an interval adjusting part for adjusting an interval between the head 41 and the medium, and a jet control part for controlling a jet of liquid. In the liquid jet apparatus, the number of nonjet nozzles, which do not emit the jet of the liquid, among the plurality of nozzles #i sandwiched between the nozzle #1 at one end of the nozzle array 42 and the nozzle #180 at the other end is determined depending on an interval between the medium facing surface and the surface of the medium.
