The adapter has a microprocessor in which driver software is run to activate and control respective network modules. The adapter is inserted into a CI slot to decode pay TV programs. Control data and mapping of address in field programmable gate array of the adapter is multiplexed to change data and address buses of respective modules. The adapter has a mechanical interface compatible with CI card interface.
