The method involves defining and providing objects (4) using an information supplier, where the objects have object oriented programmed methods for selection of partial information from offers of the information in a program code standard specified by the supplier. The object is transferred to an information receiver. The methods in the object that is accessed are executed for transfer of the partial information by assigned methods. The method controls data distribution between the information supplier and receiver as a function of data-oriented subscription of the information receiver. An independent claim is also included for a program object with a program code for execution of data distribution method in a computer network.
