At least one of the ventilation valves (4) is not designed as a floating element but as a pressure maintaining valve (9) reacting to a pressure higher than the pressure applied on the other valves (5). The remaining ventilation points (5) are designed as a combination of a pressure maintaining valve (9, 10) and a floating valve protecting the opening 6, 7) from invading petrol when the tank (1) is tilted during a drive or while being filled. The pressure maintaining valve (9, 10) facilitates a controlled diversion of the fumes into the ventilation duct (8) when the floating valve is opened.
