<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-layer type optical recording medium having satisfactory durability and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: (1) In the two-layer type optical recording medium wherein a reflection layer consisting of silver or a silver alloy, a recording layer containing an organic dye and a protective layer containing a sulfur element are successively formed on a guide groove side surface of a substrate having a holding hole at its center part and the guide groove on its surface, the reflection layer and the protective layer does not come in contact with each other. (2) In the two-layer type optical recording medium described in (1), the outer peripheral side end part of the reflection layer is positioned on the inner side of the outer peripheral side end part of the substrate and the outer peripheral side end part of the recording layer is superposed on or positioned on the outer side of the outer peripheral side end part of the reflection layer. (3) In the two-layer type optical recording medium described in (1), the outer peripheral side end part of the reflection layer is positioned on the inner side of the outer peripheral side end part of the substrate, the outer peripheral side end part of the recording layer is positioned on the inner side of the outer peripheral side end part of the reflection layer and the outer peripheral side end part of the protective layer is superposed on or positioned on the inner side of the outer peripheral side end part of the recording layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
