<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid torque converter having a transmission function and capable of omitting a transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The fluid torque converter comprises components or the like of a pump wheel 1 which is flowed through in operation from the inside to the outside, a turbine blade 3 which is flowed through in operation from the outside to the inside, guide blades 3 between the pump wheel and the turbine wheel and guide blades 4 between the turbine wheel and the pump wheel. This is constructed so that a radius of an outlet edge (1.2) of the pump wheel 1 is between two and eight times a radius of an inlet edge (2.1) of the turbine wheel 2 and input power to the pump wheel 1 is constant or slightly decreases as a rotation speed of the turbine 2 rises. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
