DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING PEAK POWER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize a desired peak factor without being accompanied with an increase in a device scale and a decrease in usage efficiency of a storage area.

SOLUTION: A clipping part 102 suppresses peak power of a transmission signal on the basis of a clipping coefficient (a). A filter part 103 limits the band of the transmission signal whose peak power is suppressed by the clipping part 102. A coefficient correction signal generating part 111 respectively detects instantaneous input power Pin of the transmission signal inputted to the clipping part 102 and instantaneous output power Pout outputted from the filter part 103. In addition, the coefficient correction signal generating part 111 calculates a coefficient change amount Δa of the clipping coefficient (a) on the basis of the instantaneous input power Pin and the instantaneous output power Pout. A coefficient setting part 108 changes the clipping coefficient (a) on the basis of the calculated coefficient change amount Δa.
