<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement device for optical fiber temperature distribution constituted, such that the wavelength of the Stokes light of the Raman scattering light and that of the anti-Stokes light of the Raman scattering light are made the same. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber temperature distribution measuring device comprises an optical pulse generation means 1 for generating optical pulses a, containing a first wavelengthλ<SB>1</SB>and a second wavelengthλ<SB>2</SB>almost equal to a wavelengthλ<SB>0</SB>satisfying the inequalityλ<SB>1</SB><λ<SB>0</SB><λ<SB>2</SB>, when the light pulse containing the first wavelengthλ<SB>1</SB>and the second wavelengthλ<SB>2</SB>is incident on the optical fiber, a wavelengthλs of the Stokes light in the Raman scattering light generated in the optical fiber by the optical pulse of the first wavelengthλ<SB>1</SB>and the wavelengthλas of the anti-Stokes light in the Raman scattering light generated in the optical fiber by the optical pulse of the second wavelengthλ<SB>2</SB>are almost same as the wavelengthλ<SB>0</SB>; an optical coupler 2 for outputting the light pulse a to the optical fiber and for receiving the back scattering light, containing the Raman scattering light generated in the optical fiber; and a wavelength selection means 3 for selecting the Stokes light and the anti-Stokes light of the wavelengthλ<SB>0</SB>from the back scattering light which is incident from the optical coupler 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
