PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission control device for providing necessary acceleration, when the transmission to a gear speed wherein a fuel consumption rate is minimized within a range where a vehicle does not stall, an accelerator pedal is depressed up to an approximately fully open condition to balance a maximum driving force and travel resistance are balanced to be a constant vehicle speed. SOLUTION: The automatic transmission control device comprises: basic control means 9a, S24-S26 for performing the transmission to the gear speed wherein the fuel consumption rate is minimized within the range where the vehicle does not stall; and correction control means 9b, S22, S23 for setting a gear other than a present gear N as gears to be shifted by the basic control means 9a, S24-S26, when accelerator opening is predetermined opening or more and a state where change in vehicle speed is a predetermined value or less has continued for a predetermined time or more in the present gear speed N shifted by the basic control means 9a, S24-S26.
