PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the equipment cost and the operating cost. SOLUTION: This conveying apparatus includes: a first drive conveying path 1 for placing and conveying a conveyed article A provided at a higher position than a second drive conveying path 2 for placing and conveying a conveyed article to be connected to the lateral side; and a relay conveying path 3 freely driven to elevate to the state of projecting above the second drive conveying path 2 and the state of drawing downward provided in a position corresponding to the first drive conveying path, wherein the conveyed article conveyed through the first drive conveying path is delivered to the second drive conveying path through the relay conveying path. The relay conveying path is composed of two or more freely rotating rollers 12 to be increased in height as it goes toward the first drive conveying path, whereby the conveyed article can be conveyed by its dead load, and a stopper 23 for stopping the conveyed article is provided on the right side in the direction of tilting the relay conveying path.
