PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a vehicle capable of arranging a drive mechanism around a drive wheel with a compact constitution. SOLUTION: An friction disc 32 is actuated by a ring disc-like first piston 35 as a service brake, and braking is canceled by a first spring 36 to ensure the actuation. Pressure oil is given to a ring-like second piston 38 as a parking brake to cancel the braking against an energizing force of the second spring 39, so that the brake canceling action is surely realized. The friction disc 32 entirely comes into slide contact with a braking disc 34, so as to make an friction area large.
