A sample delivery system provides systems and methods for capturing, lowering, and then dispensing a collected sample fluid to a receiving substrate. Specifically, an aliquot of sample fluid, such as human tear film, is collected with a collection device such as a capillary tube. A receiving device is used to capture the capillary tube, and the receiving device is coupled to a mechanical translation system. The translation system provides for both coarse and fine adjustment to position the capillary tube in proximity with the receiving substrate. |
