A fluid flow rate sensor has an electrical resistance in thermal contact with the fluid with circuit to switch regularly between heating and negligible measurement voltages using a precision Schmitt trigger to compare the temperature sensing voltage with upper and lower thresholds so that the heating and cooling phase times can be measured.
