<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a video display device capable of suppressing flicker disturbance while distinctly displaying an outline by suppressing the trailing of a moving body. <P>SOLUTION: Emitted light of a pixel consists of a 1st emitted light component and a 2nd emitted light component and the emitted light of the pixel is updated in the timing of the vertical synchronizing signal of a video signal. Here, D/2≤P≤(100-D/2) and 0<D<100, where P is the rate (%) of the time from the timing of the start of a vertical period to the center of a light emission period of the 1st emitted light component to the vertical period of the video signal and D is the rate (%) of the light emission time of the 1st emitted light component to the vertical period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
