<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field emission display device in which an FED can be driven with a low voltage using a CNT for a cathode. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of vertical address electrodes 30 in belt shape are provided in parallel at a predetermined interval on a glass rear plate 20. A plurality of wire type cathodes 40 are stretched in longitudinal and vertical directions of the vertical address electrodes 30, at a position several 100μm over the vertical address electrodes 30. The wire type cathodes 40 are composed of a CNT being applied on the surfaces of metal conductors such as tungsten or alloy conductor such as rhenium-containing tungsten. A glass display substrate 60 is opposed to the rear plate 20. In order to realize a larger-size screen, support barriers 70 are provided at a predetermined interval between the display substrate 60 and the rear plate 20, as measures for atmospheric resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
