<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight transformer that has moderate capacity such as, for example, 2,000 kVA, and can be disposed on a pole or both inside and outside a house without a need for a large scale facility, such as a distribution tower. <P>SOLUTION: The transformer comprises a plurality of coil parts; a case for storing the coil parts; a primary side terminal provided at the case for inputting a primary voltage to the coil part; and a secondary terminal provided at the case for outputting a secondary voltage that is stepped down from the primary voltage by the coil part, wherein the case has the geometry of a polygonal pole having the polygonal pole shape bottom surface and ceiling part such that the interior surface thereof substantially matches the outside shape of an envelope of the plurality of coil parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
