PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device capable of reducing combustible substance greatly.

SOLUTION: Gas stream likely to be divided into two upper and lower layers in a kiln by air or oxygen-enriched air which is injected from a nozzle 11 toward a kiln outlet 8 from a position facing the kiln outlet 8 and has high speed of 200 m/s or more is strongly stirred to increase contact efficiency with a waste material and promote combustion. An unburned waste material in the vicinity of kiln outlet is blown off onto a kiln inlet side to prolong residence time and promote combustion further. Air leaking from a clearance between a skeleton 3 in which a rear end part of the rotary kiln 2 is rotatably inserted and the rear end part of the rotary kiln 2 is taken in and is supplied into the kiln to promote combustion further.
