<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device 1 capable of saving a space in a diametral direction of the sealing device 1, and being manufactured by a comparatively small-sized vulcanizer, in the sealing device 1 having a metallic ring 2 molded by pressing sheet metal and piston actuating in a housing 6 by supplying pressure, a spring retainer molded by pressing sheet metal and assembled to the metallic ring 2 to hold a spring, and a seal lip 5 is slidably brought into contact with an inner surface 6a of the housing to seal pressure, and wherein a spring holding portion 3a of the spring retainer 3 and the seal lip 5 are arranged in a line in the diametral direction. <P>SOLUTION: The seal lip 5 is baking bonded to a peripheral edge portion 3a or in the vicinal position of the peripheral edge portion 3a of the spring retainer 3, thereby arranging at least a part of the seal lip 5 so as to overlap in the diametrical direction with the spring retainer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
