PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor that an operator can operate without being conscious of the heat of a radiation fin for the electric motor in the vicinity of an arrangement position of the electric motor. SOLUTION: In the electric motor wherein a plurality of the radiation fins 18 are arranged in parallel to a motor housing 16, heat insulating members 21 are provided at tips of the radiation fins 18. The radiation fins 18 may be arranged at the motor housing 16, or the radiation fins 18 may be arranged at both sides of the motor housing 16 so that radiation faces 18a of the radiation fins 18 are almost vertical.
