PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna which has a simple structure, conducts transmission and reception over a wide bandwidth, is usable at a lower frequency band, and is small-sized and light-weighted. SOLUTION: The antenna is constituted of a conductor face (disc-shaped conductor 11) to become a ground slope and a cone-shaped conductor (first cone-shaped conductor 13) opposing its top portion to the conductor face. In a discone antenna power-supplied by a coaxial line (12) constituted of an inner conductor (central conductor 12b), an outer conductor (12c), and a dielectric (polyethylene 12a) filled between these conductors, a connection terminal portion (code A) to the antenna of the coaxial line is provided with a transition area having an effective dielectric constant which is different from the dielectric constant of the dielectric in the coaxial line.
