PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a door check device which gives adequate feeling of checking at an intermediate opening of a door only by mechanical constitution without depending on frictional contact between a resistor arm and a friction member of a door checker and using an electromagnet and other magnetism generating elements. SOLUTION: The door check device comprises a cylindrical case member which is coaxially fixed to a pivot shaft of the door; a shearing member which relatively rotates in the cylindrical case member by opening/closing of the door; viscous fluid which is sealed in a space formed by the cylindrical case member and the shearing member; pairs of protrusions for regulating a half-opening position which are respectively formed at an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical case member and at one position of an outer peripheral surface of the shearing member or the other position thereof and are respectively comprised of protrusions spaced apart in peripheral direction; and a single protrusion for regulating a half-opening position which corresponds to the pair of protrusions for regulating a half opening position. In the pair of protrusions for regulating a half-opening position and the single protrusion for regulating a half-opening position, the single protrusion for regulating a half-opening position is positioned in the middle between the pairs of protrusions for regulating a half opening position when the door is located in a specified half opening position. When the door is pivotably moved in either opening or closing direction from the specified half-opening position, the distance in the radial direction between the pair of protrusions for regulating a half-opening position and the single protrusion for regulating a half-opening position is reduced.
