PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely stop a conveyance carriage. SOLUTION: This conveyance device is provided with the conveyance carriage 2, a travelling roller 37 enabling the conveyance carriage 2 to travel along a rail mechanism 3 in a state of being in contact with the travelling section 12g of the rail mechanism 3, a brake shoe 52 generating a frictional force by pressure, and an abnormal condition stopping mechanism 50 pressing the brake shoe 52 on both of the travelling roller 37 and the travelling section 12g at the occurrence of abnormality.
