PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably restrain partial abrasion of a shoulder part, in a pneumatic tire for a passenger car installable on the asymmetric flange-shaped rim having a one side rim flange diameter larger than a conventional diameter. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire has a swelling part 11 on at least one side of a sidewall part 2. The apex T of the swelling part 11 is set to 55 mm or more in the height with a nominal diameter NR as a reference. The height from the contour 2a of the sidewall part 2 is set to 3 mm or more. When a tire radial directional distance up to an intersection A between a contour extension line 14 of a radius of curvature Rt appearing on a surface of a tread part 4 from the tire outermost diameter point and a contour extension line 12 of a radius of curvature Rsi appearing on a surface of the sidewall part 2 is set to a P dropping quantity, a vehicle outside P dropping quantity is set to Po, a vehicle inside P dropping quantity is set to Pi, and a tread width is set to TW, 0.0015≤(Po-Pi)/TW≤0.0045 is satisfied.
