摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-coated cermet cutting tool with a hard coating layer having excellent abrasion resistance under a high speed double cutting condition of a hard-to-cut material. SOLUTION: This surface-coated cermet cutting tool is formed by physically depositing at the average layer thickness of 0.5 to 15μm the hard coating layer having a structure of dispersively distributing a zirconium oxide phase at a rate of 0.3 to 15 area % to a basis material composed of a composite nitride of Al, Ti and B, having the basis material having a component concentration distribution structure that an Al maximum inclusion point and a Ti maximum inclusion point alternately and repeatedly exist at a predetermined interval in the layer thickness direction and an inclusion rate of Al and Ti to the Ti maximum inclusion point from the Al maximum inclusion point and to the Al maximum inclusion point from the Ti maximum inclusion point respectively and continuously changes, having a maximum inclusion point of Al and Ti satisfying a specific composition formula, and setting an interval between the adjacent Al maximum inclusion point and Ti maximum inclusion point to 0.01 to 0.1μm, on a surface of a cermet base body.
