PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compression characteristics of a polyacetal resin, high-temperature creep-resistant characteristics and resistances thereof to corrosion of metal and other resins. SOLUTION: The polyacetal resin has <10 wt.ppm total amount of volatile organic compounds except formaldehyde released when heated at 90°C for 30 min. The polyacetal resin comprises a sterically hindered phenol as an antioxidant, a compound and/or a polymer containing a formaldehyde-reactive nitrogen as a heat stabilizer and a formic acid scavenger.
