The combination consists of a device (1) for the separating of foreign bodies from a fluid. The outlet opening (2) of the device points upwards, and the pump (3) in the operating position is connected by its suction connection (4) to the outlet opening of the separating unit and rests upon it. The pump is constructed as a displacement pump and equipped with a combined lift and swivel system (5) by which it can be lifted from the separating device and swivelled round so that eventual repair and maintenance operations can be carried out quickly.
