<p>The design includes a floating sludge (scum) extractor parallel to the water surface (7) with a channel (1) pivoting about an axis (6). An overflow edge (4) is included, with buoyancy volumes in the channel on both sides of the axis. The volumes increase differentially, with increasing height from the channel base (2). A pump (10) casing (9) reaches to below one end of the channel, and an adjustable unit provides for relative parallel positioning of the channel and the water surface. The buoyancy volume of the pump casing increases on both sides of the axis, with increasing spacing from the base of the pump casing. The increase is equal or greater on the overflow edge side, than on the other side. Further variants are described in accordance with the foregoing principles. Sidewall geometry is further elaborated. The pump casing has at most the same length as the channel.</p> |
