<p>The invention relates to an adapter for connecting a mechanical respirator to a mask terminal and an oxygen cannula. The inventive adapter consists of a long rigid cylindrical body (1) comprising lateral flanges (2) having a rigid conical body (3) disposed at the opposing end thereof. According to the invention, the diameter of the conical body decreases in a series of steps, such that the diameter is larger at the centre and noticeably smaller at the end at which it is connected to the cannula or mask, thereby forming steps which adapt to the tube or the socket of the terminal and which provide a connection that prevents the adapter from becoming detached owing to air pressure.</p> |
