<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator capable of accurately forming a magnetic gap by eliminating the use of a coating of a non-magnetic thin film. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic actuator comprises a york 62 coupled to an end of a coil bobbin 56, a moving-core 40 attracted to a stationary core part 54 when applying current to a coil 34, a returning spring 36 for returning the moving-core 40 to its initial position, and a shaft 38 changing its position integrally with the moving-core 40.
