<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device for reducing unpleasant feeling imparted to an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: This seat belt device is provided with an off-switch to stop driving of a winding means for winding a seat belt. The seat belt device is provided with a child seat detection means for detecting fitting or unfitting of the child seat.
