<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confirmation calibrator requiring no special facility such as a radiation shielding chamber, and capable of confirming simply and easily the propriety of using continuously a calibration factor attached to a survey meter. <P>SOLUTION: A sheetlike granite provided by forming a natural radioactive substance, in particular, the granite containing a natural-radioactive potassium feldspar, into a sheet is used as a bottom plate, the sheetlike granites with a hole capable of inserting a radiation detector in the central position of the sheetlike granite are layered on the bottom plate to constitute a pot-like volume radiation source, and the detector is inserted into the volume radiation source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
