PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve further weight reduction of a wheel side tube and enhancement of coupling strength between the wheel side tube and an axle bracket or rod guide in a front fork of a motorcycle or the like equipped with a wheel side tube made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic pipe. SOLUTION: In a front fork 20 of a motorcycle or the like in which a body side tube 201 and a wheel side tube 202 are freely slidably fitted to each other, the wheel side tube 202 has a body 280 made of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic pipe. A metallic axle bracket 207 is fitted onto the outer periphery of the base end of the body 280 by use of an adhesive. Through holes 207A, 281 passing through the axle bracket 207 and the body 280 in a radial direction are formed. A pin 291 is inserted into the through holes 207A, 281.
